Your Wedding Party
One way to include your puppy pal into your special event is by making them a member of your wedding party! They may not actually toss petals or carry your rings down the aisle but they can have this honorary title and walk down the aisle as a part of your processional.

Assign a Handler
If you will be having your doggo present on your wedding day we highly recommend assigning someone to be responsible for taking care of your pet throughout the entire event! As you and your other half will be very busy with taking photos, chatting to guests, and of course saying your vows at the altar, having someone to take care of your pet will allow you to not have to worry about them and instead can just enjoy their company on your special day!
Be Prepared
As your pet will be in a new environment with lots of people and distractions, have the supplies they need to help them feel as comfortable as possible! Having treats, poop bags, a water bowl, and anything your furry friend will need for the day all packed in advance will help you have a wedding day that’s stress free!

As we know we have many couples who fly to the islands of Hawaii for their destination wedding, and with that may not be able to bring their doggo with them, the following are a few ways to also include your pet if they can’t be there in “person”!
Cake Topper
As the cake cutting ceremony is a symbolic representation of the newlyweds completing a task together as a new family, including your pets as cake toppers is a sweet way to also include them into the classic tradition as they’re a big part of your family too!

Whether it’s your engagement photo or just a photo you love, having a picture with your pets displayed at your wedding is one way to have them present on your big day. You can even have the photo set up near you at your ceremony site or in your reception site, so that your pet can be right there with you celebrating the festivities!

Last but not least one of the SWEETEST ways to include your pet is in one of their favorite things… TREATS! As there are sooo many talented local bakeries that create the cutest sweet treats, we know that when your guests see these doggie themed treats they’ll say “Bone Appetit!” :D
