Accessories are a perfect way to add special touches to your big day! Whether it’s shimmered and shiny OR subtle and sweet, accessorizing for your wedding day can make you feel your most beautiful! :-)
Accessories are also a great way to tie in the wedding tradition of having “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”! So with sooo many fun ways to accessorize for your big day, we wanted to share some of the most popular accessories to wear at your Hawaii wedding!
Veil
Traditional and a classic, the veil! The veil is one of the few accessories that are typically only worn on your wedding day. A veil is one of those “staple” items that we often see is what makes a bride, a bride! With a wide selection of styles, lengths, and even colors, choosing a veil can be as unique as your dress!
Earrings
Now that bells will be ringing, let’s see those stud and dangling earrings! Whether you choose simple studs or a cascade of diamonds, there are so many gorgeous earrings made specifically for weddings! And if you don’t have your ears pierced, no worries! There are many companies that make high-end clip-on earrings that look SO realistic that your guests won’t be able to tell that they’re clipped on!
Necklace
Though there are many different styles of necklaces that can be worn on your wedding day, this accessory can really add so much to your special occasion, as it is worn so close to your heart! Similar to many other wedding accessories, there are bridal necklaces designed specifically for weddings. However, a necklace can also serve as the perfect place to display sentimental pieces that are old, borrowed, or blue!

Shoes
Though they may not always be seen, your feet should beam! On your big day you want to make sure you look, feel, and dance your best! Whether it’s your dream pair of Louis Vuittons or your favorite pair of boots, what you wear on your feet can put that pep in your step for your day! But, since sometimes beauty is pain, don’t forget that an extra pair of comfy shoes will be just as cool!
Leis
In Hawaii, we often see leis at weddings as they are a symbol of love, celebration, and Aloha. Oftentimes, the couples adorn their family members and out of town guests with leis, as a token of their appreciation.
But there are two leis we typically see on the Bride, specifically a Haku Lei also known as the Lei Po’o, which rests on the Bride’s head and looks like a crown of flowers. The second is a three String Pikake lei, a stunningly intricate lei that is so delicate and has the sweetest aroma of jasmine!
These beautiful accessories can be worn for the entire day or for just a part of the day, and not only will make you shine but smell divine!
XOXOXO
