Ideas for a Unique Wedding Guest Book

Traditionally a wedding guest book is a simple journal with pages that contain numbered lines for names and addresses. Guests write their contact information down as they check-in to the reception and give the registration table helper a card for the couple. The helper will typically write the number of the line that the guest wrote their information on, to their corresponding card so that the couple knows whose card belongs to who!

However, we’ve recently been seeing a shift from the traditional guest books to a more UNIQUE guest book experience! As couples are directing their guests to use their wedding website to input this information when they RSVP and even offer them the ability to give them a gift through the site. With this new ability couples are choosing to ditch the numbered lines and contact information on guest books and instead choosing options for guests to write just their names or fun messages! The look of guest books have changed entirely as well to many of them not even being books but pieces of artwork that can be displayed in the new couple’s home! Here are a few ideas for YOUR very own unique wedding guest book!

Wooden Artwork

Did you know that when it comes to marriage, wood symbolizes strength and growth? That’s why a guest book made of wood is a beautiful way to represent the strength of the love you and your other half have for each other now, as well as all the growth to come in the rest of your lives together! A guest book made of wood! Who WOOD’ve of thought!

Message in A Bottle

As paper is seen as the 1 Year anniversary gift for married couples, a message in the bottle guest book is a fun way to honor the gift of paper as you can ask your guests to write you messages that you and your other half will read on your anniversary! This is a really sweet way to look back on the messages your friends and family wrote you on this special day as well as have something to look forward to reading on your first anniversary!

Polaroid Station

Since they say a picture is worth a thousand words, a guest book filled with pictures of your family and friends is a unique way to capture messages and you’ll always be able to look back on the smiling faces of the people who love and support the two of you!
