Staycation

Since I had an all day wedding on Saturday and an early morning wedding on Sunday, I reserved a hotel room at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for my husband and son to enjoy and so I had every minute possible to sleep πŸ™‚ .Β Β  After Kelli & Nick’s wedding, I changed clothes and got to enjoy the rest of Sunday with Mike, Bodhi, and Bodhi’s Uncles and cousins!

We milked our stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village by swimming in the pools and riding the slides all morning with Mary & her family then leaving the hotel room with 3 minutes to spare.Β  Once we left the Hilton, we treated ourselves to the “BBQ Stick Man” that my husband mentioned is always busy and crowded on weekends…so being that it was a Monday, we took a chance and were VERY happy to be able to enjoy such AMAZING food!Β  If you EVER have a chance to go, I HIGHLIY recommend it!Β  It is SOOOOO YUMMY and the beef is SOOOO SOFT!

As I waited for our food, I took the opportunity to take a quick picture

Wishing you all the best!

Black Friday!!!

This was my FIRST time going shopping for the crazy deals on Black Friday!Β  It was a last minute decision that Mary and I decided to take our chances and see what deals we could get and how much fun we could have doing it all!

Our FIRST stop...Toys R Us! I still can't believe the line went AROUND the BLOCK and snaked around AGAIN!

Our FIRST stop…Toys R Us! I still can't believe the line went AROUND the BLOCK and snaked around AGAIN!

I must say…that even though there were SO many people, Toys R Us really knew how to prepare and handle the crowd!Β  GREAT job to Toys R Us!!!Β  Mary & I BOTH got some REALLY good deals especially since we made it in with the first batch of customers to enter!
Next, we rushed to WalMart even thought we had just heard some crazy stories of the year before…

here is Mary after she managed to get 1 DVD player for each of us! OH MY GOSH...SHE REALLY WORKED FOR THESE! I am SO glad Mary was there with me. Although we waited for HOURS, we managed to make friends, enjoy coffee, and get some good deals.

Unfortunately, I MUST say that it was just a matter of time that someone would get hurt at WalMart.Β  It almost seemed like they wanted people to fight or get out of control.Β  Luckily, Mary & I got out safely…WHEW!

After WalMart, Mary & went to a number of Office Max shops but missed out on getting the laptops we wanted...so we made our last stop at Target. Here I am happy to be DONE and ready to go home, take a shower, and get some SLEEP :)

November’s NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) Meeting at the Hawaii Prince Hotel

This meeting was just amazing from the decor to the food.Β  I just wish I could give out samples of the food from our blog but unfortunately, pictures will have to do…

Before sharing everything, I want to give credit to the amazing vendors who pulled this all together!

  • Naomi Lee of Les Saisons (www.les-saisons.net | 636-1704) who did all of the linen for all guest tables & seating and was the main speaker/presenter!!!
  • Linda Leung of the Hawaii Prince Hotel (www.princeresortshawaii.com/hawaii-prince-hotel.php | 944-4486) who took care of all of the food & service!!!
  • Sue Tabbal-Yamaguchi of Su-V Expressions (www.suvexpressionshawaii.com | 593-8989) who did all of the flowers and centerpieces!!!
  • China Anderson of REA Events (285-8160) who did the linen and themed decor for ALL food stations!!!

I arrived early to the Hawaii Prince to help Naomi with her setup and instantly found…

On Tuesday, October 20th, I made my way to the JW Marriott Ihilani at 10:00am to have a GREAT breakfast and begin planning the upcoming event at the JW Marriott Ihilani.

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 11th for couples who are still looking for a location to hold their upcoming wedding at. If you are interested in attending, please contact us ASAP so that we can reserve space for you.

Since I got there early, I had a chance to take some pictures of the Ihilani to share on my blog
